Our darkest roast.

Behind the Name

Quarter Town is named for the Scottish rebel, William Wallace, who led the Scots against the occupying armies of King Edward I in a bid to free Scotland from England's grasp and carve a better life for his people. The campaign lasted for eight years.  In 1308 Wallace was betrayed, captured and charged with treason (a charge he denied on the grounds that he had never sworn allegiance to the English king).

Upon being found guilty, Walllace was sentenced to a grizzly death and was to be hung, drawn and quartered. After his execution, Wallace's head was placed on London Bridge and his four limbs were sent to Newcastle, Stirling, Perth and Berwick upon Tweed, making us one of the four quarter towns.
